An open letter to the U.S. Congress 2020 Presidential Election Process
6 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers! President Trump has long tried to undermine the legitimacy of voting by mail. His tweet on July 30 suggesting a delay in the presidential election date serves to undermine the credibility of the election even further. Since he cannot actually move the election date without Congress' approval, members of Congress must speak put against his anti-democratic sentiments. They do not bode well for Trump's acceptance of whatever the election results are, come November. As your constituent, I am calling on you to oppose Trump's denigration of the democratic election process. I also urge you to uphold America's ability to choose its president in 2020 as fairly and safely as possible, including universal access to voting by mail.
