An open letter to the U.S. Senate coronavirus response bill
6 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers! Hi, I'm a California constituent writing to urge the Senator to pass the House's coronavirus response bill (H.R.6201) as soon as you return to Capitol Hill, and without watering it down any further. The bill has already suffered a major blow in negotiations with Trump, who demanded that it only provide paid sick leave to 20% of American workers. The time has come for Congress to act decisively, and that means not giving in any more to pressure from corporations or Republicans to restrict the baseline protections we need. Will you promise to pass the House bill as soon as you return to Capitol Hill, and without watering it down any further? I hope so. Small businesses, independent contractors, and stay at home providers need help too! Thank you for your service.
