No SCOTUS nominee vote: it's our choice not yours, so follow the Garland example

No nominee for a seat on the Supreme Court should be considered now, less than 60 days before an election. McConnell himself said, on the day Scalia died: “The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president." Lindsay Graham said: "“I want you to use my words against me. If there’s a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination." And Barack Obama just reminded us: that a "basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what’s convenient or advantageous in the moment. The rule of law, the legitimacy of our courts, the fundamental workings of our democracy all depend on that basic principle." I ask you to refuse to confirm any judicial nominee for the SCOTUS vacancy. I am tired of watching members of Congress praise the legacy and moral clarity of our heroes Elijah Cummings, John Lewis, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg and then succumb to GOP partisan wrecking of our democracy. I am disgusted that a president who is shredding the constitution and gleefully defying the law and even encouraging his adherents to disobey subpoenas can still nominate judges. You should get busy impeaching Barr and protecting our elections and stopping the pandemic. No more judges until January and the new administration.
