I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana and am incredibly proud of the citizens who have protested here and incredibly disappointed in the police force who are supposed to protect us. Peaceful protests have been disrupted and destroyed by an overly militarized police force. If tear gas is not able to be used in war on the battle field due to the Geneva Contract, there's no reason it should be used on community streets against those who are trying to speak out against a corrupt system and speak for a group that's been beaten down, silenced and MURDERED by police. It's time, as those who are in power, to take a hard look at where your morals lie. If you're going to fight for the pro-life movement, you CANNOT stand idly by while minorities are murdered. Being born black should not be a crime in this country. It's time to use your voice for ALL your constituents, to use your power to protect ALL your citizens, and to see change enacted so ALL people feel safe. Do what's right, or be voted out of office next term. This is not the America of old. It's time to do what's right, not what's white.
