Close Schools in New York City Now

7 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

I'm a teacher in New York City, and it is beyond time to close the schools. I know that many of our students are vulnerable, but if gatherings larger than 250 people are banned, why on earth are there still 6,000 students a day in my building?!? There are no deep cleanings being done. Teachers are buying and bringing in bleach sprays. Students are NOT safe, and teachers should not be babysitters. I'm an adult with asthma -- I am at greater risk and should not be required to still be in a building with thousands of people every day. If Boston, LA, and every other major city has figured out a way to do this, surely New York can.
