An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Justice 4 George Floyd

18 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

I am writing to you today to demand legal action for justice in name of George Floyd and urge you to vote on legislation that will hold police enforcement accountable if and when future cases arise. It is crucial for representatives to listen and defend the rights of Americans, including the right to live and freedom to gather and protest. Black Americans deserve respect and justice for all the wrongdoings committed against them in the name of law enforcement. Regardless of political party or beliefs, there shouldn’t be any hesitancy to fight against the injustice in Texan and American communities. Respect black lives and hold those accountable for unjust murder and hate crimes committed against them based solely on their skin color. Use your platform, your political power, to uphold the constitution and to protect American citizens who are part of our hardworking communities. Bring justice to George Floyd and the countless of others who have been murdered by law enforcement. Don’t fail your country and the citizens who live in it. We are tired, angry, and sad, and this needs to change. Be that change.
