Please oppose H.R. 1154

Congressman Schiff, While I generally support collective bargaining, particularly for public employees, recent events have shone a light on the malignant role police unions continue to play in the structural issues with American policing. Until we’re able to address police unions’ near universal opposition to appropriate civilian oversight (see https://t.co/zuEpfozSyP), they should have less power, not more. I encourage your staff to research the data on the correlation between police union strength and police misconduct and for you to reconsider your co-sponsorship of H.R. 1154. Thank you.
