GOP FAILURE. AGAIN.
Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas. Beating a dead horse continues, but it’s hot, not much to do except remind you and yours that we, the people are out here watching and waiting and, for the moment, alive and well. Re: Roger Stone. More stating the obvious: Adam Schiff: “Republicans won't stand up for the rule of law, won't stand up for the independence of the Justice Department. It shouldn't matter, but this was a Republican-led investigation that Roger Stone lied to," Schiff said. "The committee was then chaired by a Republican, and here you have no more than a couple Republicans willing to say a single word about someone who came before Congress and lied to them, intimidated witnesses and obstructed them. Why? Because he did it to cover for a president of their party." "This is the distinction between now and Watergate. The Republicans then would not have stood for this, and Nixon understood that. Donald Trump understands that he has these Republicans cowed." Such an articulate burn. Can’t wait for Mr. Trump’s counter-comments. I predict ‘loser,’ ‘pencil neck,’ or ‘shifty.’ The man does have a way with tiny words. And just a gentle reminder of a hopefully turning tide in Texas: “The independent polling firm Political Polls has put Joe Biden 5 points ahead of Donald Trump in Texas, with 48 percent of respondents in the key red state favoring the former vice president over 43 percent for Trump. The new poll echoes a CBS poll released Sunday that also shows Biden polling well in key battleground states. The CBS poll shows Trump just 1 point ahead of Biden in Texas but puts the Democrat 6 points ahead in Florida and in a tie in Arizona. Meanwhile, Five Thirty Eight compiled polling averages last week that show Biden surging in Virginia, Minnesota, and a host of other swing states—sometimes with double-digit leads over the president.” Not fake. Just fact.
