An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

39 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

I know you have seen the violence happening throughout this country. I know you're sitting in your house right now. I know you don't know what it must feel like to be a BLACK PERSON in this area right now. I know you haven't made a statement on the horrific crimes that have taken this country by storm. The crimes that have led black people to fear for their lives just taking a walk, or going to the grocery store. You won't understand, because you are a PRIVILEGED WHITE MAN. But you CAN use your privilege to help. You, as a government official, have the duty to listen to your constituents and respond accordingly. Your silence is deafening, representative, and we are tired of being ignored. Say something. Do something. Act for the people. But please do not be silent.
