Tom Cotton publicly called for the United States military to execute American citizens in the street. June 1st, 2020, amidst nationwide protests he wrote "Anarchy, rioting, and looting needs to end tonight. If local law enforcement is overwhelmed and needs backup, let's see how tough these Antifa terrorists are when they're facing off with the 101st Airborne Division. We need to have zero tolerance for this destruction." Then later that day, "And, if necessary, the 10th Mountain, 82nd Airborne, 1st Cav, 3rd Infantry—whatever it takes to restore order. No quarter for insurrectionists, anarchists, rioters, and looters." "No quarter" is a phrase meaning people would be killed rather than taken prisoner. Mr. Cotton is a former Captain in the United States Army and knows exactly what this phrase means. The role of the United States military is to protect our citizens from enemy combatants. American citizens are not the enemy. Looters, rioters, and other criminals still have Constitutional rights. No quarter means the military would be denying Americans their rights and act as judge, jury, and executioner. It is disgusting and entirely unacceptable for a United States Senator to promote executing American Citizens with the United States military. Tom Cotton needs to be expelled from the Senate.
