An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Block 45's Nominee, I Beg You

16 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

I implore you, please do not let the toxic republican leadership in place right now choose the replacement with Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 45 is a vile, shameful stain on the US government, and his - and the senate's - track record for Supreme Court nominees is already tarnished by the appointment of accused sex offender Bret Kavanaugh. How much will YOU allow his cancerous leadership to shape the government - which the people have trusted - for generations of Americans and American politicians? How much longer will you let him warp and distort our democratic process that we have touted to the world for generations? He is not the only president to make mistakes, but he is about to make one that YOU can prevent, and I - your constituent - beg you to do so. If 45 wins re-election, we can make it a partisan battle. But, Sen. Wyden, what were you saying when Obama was in this same position? Were you saying we should wait until the results of the election were finalized? Stick by your word then. Sen. Merkley, fight tooth and nail with those who follow Mitch McConnell blindly in rubber stamping 45's nominee. I need you to take off the gloves. I need you to fight dirty. I need you to punch below the belt. Your country needs both of you to do what is right. Please. Please. Please.
