Supreme Court Confirmation Process

The precedent was set when a SCOTUS nomination was not allowed to be advanced in 2016. The same standard of not allowing a nomination to proceed during an election year should be in place now. It is time to put justice and decency above politics. Our political officials have lost the trust of their constituents. We need to be able to believe in the process and that our leaders will work for us to do what is right and fair. Now is not the time to play partisan games with one of the most important decisions that can be made in our government. A Supreme Court Justice is the defender of our Constitution. You, as an elected representative, are the defender of a fair and impartial process to install the next Justice to the SCOTUS. I implore you to hold yourself to the highest standards. I implore you to be the defender of an unimpeachable process. I implore you to be on the right side of history.
