An open letter to the U.S. Congress

USPS: America Need Our Mail

8 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

I'm a voter in Tennessee and I'm calling to urge you to help save the US Postal Service, and to express my outrage that the president is undermining it. Millions of people all over America depend on timely mail delivery to receive crucial prescription drugs, to receive their paychecks, to receive and pay bills on time, and to cast their votes, which is especially important this year. I urge you to demand Louis DeJoy come to Congress early and testify on his recent actions as Postmaster General, to support Carolyn Maloney's bill, the Delivering for America Act, to protect USPS, to codify timely mail delivery through November and support overtime needed to do it, and to insist on USPS funding as part of any Covid-19 relief bill. I urge you to take action now, not tomorrow. You should end your August recess now and get back to work for the American people. This cannot wait, and we need action, not words.
