An open letter to State Governors

Request for Official Review of Police Actions on May 30th

7 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

As a concerned citizen, I write regarding what appears to be the use of tear gas, unprovoked, during demonstrations in downtown Raleigh on Saturday May 30th. I have the utmost respect for those who uphold and help constitute the law. However, it is not acceptable behavior for police officers to be escalating the situation against otherwise peaceful protesters. All protests, regardless of the topic of the protest, should be met with a proportionate response: a response designed to deescalate. I'm calling for an official review of police actions on the night of May 30th in Raleigh. I think it is only fair to review all available recorded evidence to determine if undue force was used. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
