I watch in horror as the stock markets hit record highs every day in the last few weeks as our country remains in economic turmoil. I think about the 4 million Americans that have been out of work for 6 or more months, and how they each lost their employer insurance as well.
These people need to be insured, and they need to be insured through the tax revenue that they have paid. These people need to be insured regardless of employment status.
As the stock market gains trillions, our legislators hide behind the lie that “we can’t afford” Medicare for All. Stop lying, and start acting. Insure the American people.
Support the Medicare for All bills in your respective chambers—don’t talk about economic recovery or pandemic recovery until then, because it will be in bad faith.
