Vote No on SISEA

222 so far! Let’s get to 250 signers!

SISEA is yet another over-reaching piece of legislation attempting to regulate content on the internet. We are a free country do not need to engage in censorship of our internet in the fashion of dictatorial states such as China, Russia, and North Korea. This bill does little to support victims of sexual abuse and exploration and, instead, greatly hinders the ability for social media companies and independent webmasters to host, filter, and manage content on their websites. Additionally, the bill's proposed solutions to exploitation and abuse do not target abusers, but webmasters and businesses instead. A better and less costly approach would be to expand services to victims of abuse to allow them to pursue swifter legal action against abusers and to pass harsher penalties for abusers who engage in exploitation of others. Beyond adult content, this bill harms independent authors, artists, and actors who rely on producing varying content as a means to generate additional income. This bill is bad for businesses, bad for entrepreneurs, and bad for American freedoms.
