An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Impeach Bill Barr now

34 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

It's shocking that the senate has confirmed judges, justices, and other agency heads who lied under oath in congress and evade constitutionally mandated oversight by defying subpoenas and refusing document production. These are not partisan matters. All who took an oath to the constitution are required to uphold it. I am alarmed by AG Barr's corruption, which has been evident throughout his tenure. He has continuously behaved like Trump's private attorney and fixer. I am also alarmed by Amy Coney Barrett's views and extreme partisanship. Our democracy, our hard-won rights, and even our elections will not be safe if she is installed on scotus. Together, Barr, Coney Barrett, and Trump himself are an existential threat to our democracy. I fear for what could happen in a lame-duck season. Please take these dangers seriously and evaluate them with an objective gaze. You can mitigate the danger in one step: the house needs to impeach Bill Barr and send the charges to the senate before the floor vote on Coney Barrett. Please talk to your colleagues on the judiciary, oversight and intel committees about impeaching Barr now and urge them to proceed with all possible haste. Yes, this is a grave and solemn step. But the blatant dishonesty and bad faith of AG Barr is a grave danger and should be considered an outrage by any public servant who adheres to their oath to the constitution.
