Vote Yes on the Equality Act

As your constituent, I am writing you to urge you to vote YES on the Equality Act. Our country cannot continue to tolerate discrimination in employment, housing, public spaces, education, or anywhere on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. In these divisive times, we need to secure protections for all people. We need to pass the Equality Act with its explicit non-discrimination protections. By specifically including sexual orientation and gender identity in our nation’s civil rights laws, LGBTQIA+ people will finally have the exact same protections as other recognized identities under federal laws. By lending your support, you are showing your constituents that you truly believe all people deserve equal protections and supports. Please vote YES on the Equality Act.
