An open letter to the U.S. Congress

No income cap on the rescue bill. Leave it as it was for the first two.

14 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

Please do not change the income cap/limit on the $1400. check that will be going out in the new rescue package. There is apparently a GOP amendment by Susan Collins and Joe Manchin that reduces total income, meaning those considered upper income will no longer receive rescue checks. Please leave this as it was in the first two rescue bills, with the first two checks sent and keep in mine that the cost of a 895 sq. ft apartment being over $2600 in Santa Clara & cost of a 1200 sq ft $400- $600 in West Virginia, means that Joe Manchin is out of touch with the reality of most people and this change to the rescue bill that just passed the senate and is heading to the house is a kick in the teeth to cities--especially to nurses and other essential workers who pay 6 times more to survive than Joe Manchin's constituents.
