An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Censure Sedition Now

6 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

Merriam-Webster defines “Sedition” as “incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.” Members of Congress and the executive branch who continue to attempt to overthrow the will of the people are guilty of sedition, and are dangerously eroding the foundations of Democracy. Although I don’t believe that they will be successful, these elected official are violating their oaths to the constitution. This is how democratic republics become fascist regimes. We must, as a nation, stand up to these early seeds of tyranny before the fabric of our nation is degraded further. I am sending this letter to all three of my elected representatives in Congress, Rep Kaptur, Sen Brown and Sen Portman. Sen Portman, you have a particular responsibility to speak out. Will you let the party of Lincoln tear the country in two and destroy the union that so many died to preserve? The GOP has told us for years that they are the party of law and order, and individual responsibility. How will you hold these seditious representatives accountable? How will you send a clear message that this behavior will not stand, and quell this insurgency in your chambers before it reaches the streets? I urge the three of you, and all of Ohio’s representatives from both parties to make a collective, forceful statement unilaterally condemning the behavior of the current President and these members of Congress who would deny the will of the people.
