An open letter to the U.S. Congress Make DST permanent
20 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers! I'm writing to request your support and leadership in making Daylight Saving Time permanent by amending the Uniform Time Act.
People enjoy having extra sunlight hours during their daily lives when we "spring forward," but the reverse is never true; ending DST in the fall serves no purpose, throws of people's schedule, contributes to seasonal affective disorder, and makes the functional day seem shorter.
This is an easy and worthwhile measure to support at the state and national level. Please consider sponsoring or supporting legislation to make permanent DST a reality.
