Power Outages in Texas

It should be incredibly apparent that the number one priority for the Texas Legislature is the sad state of the Texas power grid administered by ERCOT. There is absolutely no excuse for the suffering hundreds of thousands of Texans, many of them within your district, have experienced due to the extreme cold which caused power outages at many power production plants, primarily those fossil fuel plants, that weren't winterized. Stop whatever you're doing, ask about the 1989 and 2011 power outages and the root cause analysis and recommendations that were made at the time and take action. Let's not just hope that this never happens again, because this is the 3rd time and enough is enough. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your constituents.
