Please save democracy.

Please stop the filibuster. Why, you may ask? I thought that seemed clear, but I have learned that there are at least three Dem. Senators that are not willing to do so. On Jan. 6, 2021 our country faced an insurrection, an attempted coup by Trump and his followers to try and stop the newly elected president, Joe Biden from taking power. This was the last bit of sedition in a many month long campaign by Donald Trump to try and convince people that our elections were not free and fair. Because of this and other factors, we now face a Republican party that is unwilling to compromise or cooperate in any Dem bill that goes forth. Some of the bills we need to pass before the midterms will protect our voting system and help stop the Republicans from doing what they can to make sure minority rule is the case over the next decade. This is very serious. Without the ability to pass important legislation NOW, Democrats could lose power for almost a decade due to current Census data and aggressive gerrymandering. Please do not be the one to end the American Experiment. Please get rid of this, as President Obama called it “ old Jim Crow relic”, the filibuster which allows minority rule-- and bring the Senate back to the founders original vision, while saving our very democracy. I ask, you my Senator to STOP the FILIBUSTER, NOW, for the sake of democracy.
