Israel-Palestine Conflict

36 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

I understand that you support Israel, and I highly appreciate what you do. But as a Jew living in southeast Michigan, I ask you to condemn Israel and Israelis for their actions against Palestinians. For one, Israelis and Palestinians deserve to live in peace because of the oppressions they’ve both faced, and Israelis attacking, let alone during such a holy period of time, and then celebrating is horrifically against all sense of humanity. On another note, I am asking you as a federal government official to please make it clear that this is not about religion to the public. I have seen too many people spreading misinformation on social media making it clear that “only Jews” are doing this, and seeing this hate in my community towards my religion breaks my heart. I am not proud to call Israel my homeland right now, but I am proud to call myself Jewish.
