An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Ashli Babbit

31 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

The woman killed in the Capitol Building today, Ashli Babbit, is a Veteran of the US Air Force. Given the circumstances of her death, I demand she be denied military honors at her funeral. Her last act was one of terrorism and treason. She stormed the Capitol Building and was seen breaking windows in attempt to gain access to the Senate chamber. This is not the act of someone who has sworn to faithfully defend the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic, as she, herself, became the enemy. As a Veteran myself, I am ashamed and aghast that a sister in arms would undertake such a deliberate attack upon one of our most sacred buildings and a symbol of democracy itself.
