Sedition is conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the constitutional authority of their government. Presidents do not get a free pass simply because they commit sedition near the end of their term. President Trump spent months and then the morning of January 6th insisting that his followers stop the counting and certification of the Electoral College vote in a last ditch effort to retain the presidency. Then he told the mob in front of him to “fight like hell.” That’s sedition. When it comes time, you must uphold your oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and vote to convict.
