An open letter to the U.S. Congress Fix the broken USPS
42 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers! The USPS is in an abysmal state. Packages and mail are stalled and delayed; locations are inadequately staffed; COVID is taking out employees under immense pressure; temporary staff were not hired and trained soon enough. All issues can be traced to the upper management of Louis de Joy and the board members, many of whom were appointed by outgoing President Donald Trump.
It is a shame to see a once-revered institution brought to its knees by inadequate leadership. Without the postal system, who are we and how do we reach our most vulnerable populations?
Please take any and all action you can to repair the damage to the USPS.
