An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Do Something in this Historical Crisis!

6 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

What's going on in this country with Covid-19 is of epic historic significance, yet our federal government has left it to local governments to fend for themselves.  We called the National Guard in to help with many of the disasters on the following list of the deadliest days in the United States, yet our federal leaders have done little other than to undermine the heroic efforts of many of our local leaders working tirelessly to combat Covid-19.   DEADLIEST DAYS IN U.S. HISTORY May 31, 1889--Johnstown Flood--2,209 dead. June 27, 1862--Battle of Gaines' Mill--2,377 dead. December 7, 1941--Pearl Harbor--2,403 dead. September 28, 1928--Okeechobee Hurricane--2500 dead.   April 15, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2546 dead. Dec. 4, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2563 dead. April 29, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2661 dead. Dec. 3, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2706 dead. Dec. 2, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2733 dead. May 7, 2020 - Covid-19 - 2769 dead. September 11, 2001 - 9/11 Attack - 2996 dead. April 18, 1906--San Francisco Earthquake - 3,000 dead. September 17, 1862--Battle of Antietam--3,650 dead. September 8, 1900--Galveston Hurricane: 6,000 dead. Ignoring this historical crisis must stop!  Quit playing politics with the health of our citizens.  Pass legislation to help those who've been financially devastated by this crisis instead of diverting funds to big corporations whose CEOs pull down obscene salaries.  Ordinary people are hurting and literally dying for your attention.  Stop the evictions of those most vulnerable.  And when things settle down, please work on providing health care that is not linked
