An open letter to the U.S. Congress Congress must censure the President
38 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers! Subject: Congress must censure the President for his outlandish call to Georgia's Secretary of State Raffensperger to overturn election results
_____________
"It is the responsibility of Congress as one of three bodies engaged in the delicate balance of power in the United States to censure a President or Judge who has exhibited behavior dangerous to our fragile democracy.
In the United States, governmental censure is done when Congress' members wish to publicly reprimand the President of the United States. After hearing with our own ears President Donald J. Trump demand that Georgia's Secretary of State Raffensperger overturn the presidential election results and the will of the majority, we the people have had enough. These are not the actions consistent with a free and fair democracy.
Call for censure. Your silence in this matter is complicity."
