Fight For Freelance Workers…

8 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

I want to bring something important to your attention, the community of freelance workers who are often overlooked in times of hardship. I ask that you please include these workers in any bills passed to help those in need during the Corona Virus shutdowns in our country. These people do not have typical 9 to 5 jobs. They do not have insurance and employers. They work job to job and when touring, the film and TV production, and the entertainment industry as a whole comes to a halt, they lose their incomes completely. These people are crew men and women. They are writers. They are caterers. They are editors. Musicians. These people are friends, family and some of the hardest workers I know, but with the shutdowns within our society, they are greatly affected and in need of help just as people with ordinary day to day jobs. Please do not leave them behind and create subsidies for them as well. They deserve to survive just as much as those who work for corporations and small businesses. PLEASE do not leave them behind.
