An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Healthcare Equity

28 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

Healthcare inequity is a form of systematic discrimination that manifests itself in the medical and relating fields through avenues such as race, socioeconomic status, age, and sexual orientation. It is another form of injustice that is disproportionately killing Americans nationwide, Americans who share the same expectations of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. I am demanding that the budgets for healthcare and wellbeing in communities of color as well as communities of lower socioeconomic status be revisited and increased. I am also demanding that every healthcare professional be required to complete a course on healthcare equity. The American people deserve to have healthcare professionals that are committed to giving everyone the same quality of treatment, the treatment they deserve.
