Select a replacement for Justice Ginsburg who will protect the Affordable Care Act

I’m writing to urge you to select a replacement for Justice Ginsburg who will protect the ACA. The Supreme Court is hearing the Trump Administration’s argument against the ACA soon. If the ACA is eliminated, it would end medical insurance for 23 million and 130 million with pre-existing conditions would lose its lifesaving protections. We’d also lose our ability to get birth control with $0 copay. Right now, 1 in 13 women struggle to afford birth control. Without the ACA, 61 million would have to pay for their own birth control. Some low-income individuals would have to choose between a meal and birth control. Public funding in contraceptive services, like the ACA, actually saves the government money. For every tax dollar invested in contraceptive services, it saves $5 in Medicaid spending. $12 billion can be saved each year by saving medical costs of unintended pregnancies. You have the power to ensure that Americans have the right to basic healthcare. Please do the right thing and select a replacement for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who will protect the Affordable Care Act. We depend on you to do the right thing.
