Black lives matter, and they always have.

Black lives matter, and they always have. Yet, no one in power wants to admit it. Systemic racism needs to be exposed. I'm tired. I don't want to live in a place, let alone a country, that continuously feeds into the system that oppresses minorities: people of color, queer people, the working class, and all the marginalized groups that make up who I am, or countless American citizens like me. Why, suddenly, are those who are usually quiet on social media suddenly activists? How many people finally realized that our lives don't matter to the system that our government perpetuates? Whatever it takes, the magnitude of the mass protests and increased online social activism shows how serious this is. Finally make a change to America's normalized everyday nightmare. Authority in this nation has been incompetent for so long.
