An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Support the MORE Act

26 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

As a constituent, I urge you to support the MORE Act which would remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act. As states legalize and decriminalize marijuana, or make it available medically, it becomes more and more necessary to decriminalize it on a federal level. Given the racial history of law enforcement, especially in relation to drug use, it's particularly important to support the MORE Act so that states can begin expunging nonviolent marijuana-related offenses. It's simply unjust and inequitable for white people to consume marijuana legally now when there are thousands of black and brown people incarcerated for the same thing. Furthermore, prohibition of marijuana financially burdens taxpayers and seriously impedes legitimate scientific research into cannabis' medicinal properties. Please sign on as a co-sponsor of the MORE Act and demand a vote.
