Investigate Trump Administration Withholding Funds from FDNY First Responders

77 so far! Let’s get to 100 signers!

I am unequivocally appalled by reporting from the New York Daily News that indicated the Trump administration has withheld almost $4 million from the FDNY World Trade Center Health Program, designed to track and treat FDNY firefighters and medics suffering from 9/11 related illnesses. As Jon Stewart said to Congress in a hearing a few years ago, the brave first responders did their jobs. They responded to the 9/11 attacks in five seconds. Many of whom died either that day saving others or years later due to scientifically connected illness related to the World Trade Center site. The Trump administration’s reported stealing of these funds is terrible at any point - but particularly during a global pandemic when many are struggling. I am calling on you to investigate this horrid action taken by the Trump administration and to hold those involved accountable. This should not be tolerated.
