Concerns about US military used against our own citizens

I write you today to express my horror at President Trump using Federal law enforcement against peaceful protestors in order to stand in front of St. John’s church for a photo op. Spending tax payer dollars on flash bangs and tear gas against American citizens who are exercising their first amendment right is unconscionable. Bringing in prison guards from Texas to protect the White House rather than relying on the well trained and disciplined DC Metropolitan Police and the Secret Service seems another stunt designed toward a hope of using the American military against its own citizens. Tonight I read General Mattis’s words and feel my fears are shared and confirmed. You are not powerless. It is past time to put our country above party. Check this executive. Stop this overreach.
