An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Oversight of Federal pandemic response

6 so far! Let’s get to 10 signers!

I’m a constituent from Venice and a member of Indivisible CA-33. I'm writing to urge you to increase oversight and provide Americans with information about the Federal response to the coronavirus pandemic. Of particular concern to me are the following items: * Obtaining clear information about what, when and why the Federal government is confiscating PPE and testing supplies from states and other local authorities, and how that equipment dispositioned (and if sold, to whom) , * Testimony from FEMA, HHS and other federal officials regarding the reasons behind the confiscations, to rule out political motives and, * Testimony from FEMA officials about the way contracts are being awarded and managed. Congress has oversight responsibility over the executive branch and must continue to insist on their accountability to the citizens of this country. Thank you for your time and attention.
