Mariner East Waivers during COVID19

31 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

Good morning, It has been announced that waivers for Mariner East have been granted for my neighborhood in Uwchlan Township where around 100 homes have easements and easily 200-300 homes are impacted my construction noise, fumes, vibrations, etc. In January of 2018, ALL construction of Mariner East was halted for SIX weeks, across the entire state. Why now, in the middle of a public health crisis, are multiple areas being given waivers and considered “life-sustaining”. It wasn’t life sustaining then, and it’s not now. Governor Wolf has ordered us to stay home. My neighbors will NOT be able to stand to be in their homes 24/7 with this noise starting back up again. The mental stress on top of living in a pandemic is just too much. Kids won’t be able to learn from home. Parents can’t work from home. Babies can’t nap from home. My one neighbor has so much equipment in her backyard, she can’t BREATH from home. It was bad enough before this pandemic, when people would leave their house purposefully every day, but now they can’t. Reverse the waivers. They put our communities public and mental health at risk every day they are here.
