Get back to work!

When Republicans wanted to pass tax cuts for the wealthy, they worked long hours. With a global pandemic bearing down on a woefully unprepared America, Mitch McConnell sent Senators home for a long weekend. The news report this morning: “NEW: Statistical models meant to project the potential reach of the coronavirus and the COVID-19 disease suggest more than a million Americans could die if the nation does not take swift action to stop its spread as quickly as possible. One model shows more than 1.6 million could die if the virus carries a mortality rate of just 1 percent.” This is unconscionable. All Senators should be unified in saying: Get back to work, Mitch!
