End qualified immunity now!

Qualified immunity serves as an unintended shelter for cop misconduct and must end now. No one is above the law, and if this last week has taught us anything, it's that the police absolutely consider themselves above the law. We also must end police militarization, establish a national, public, searchable database of police and make it illegal for cops terminated or under investigation for misconduct to be hired on to a different police force. Police are expected to fulfill an insurmountable amount of tasks in our society, so we must shrink the footprint of the police by redirecting police funds to public health, ending homelessness, economic education, and other community resources.
