An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Condemn White Supremacy

15 so far! Let’s get to 25 signers!

During the presidential debate, President Trump was asked if he would condemn White Supremacists and ask them to stand down. In response, he told them to "stand back and stand by." Standing by is a clear indication that they should be prepared for more altercations, more violence, more White Supremacist actions. This sort of language and threat needs to be roundly condemned by all of Congress. I ask that you publicly condemn his statements and all White Supremacy and White Nationalism, and that you encourage your colleagues to do the same. All of Congress needs to speak out against these threats to our democracy and to our fellow citizens.
