It Is the Duty of All Elected Officials to Stand for Justice in Palestine.

With the celebration of the 4th of July, my mind goes to the Palestinians and their fight for self determination and their fight for independence, and how we, as Americans, so relish the thought of OUR Revolution and OUR fight for self determination and independence. But now, the US government supports the Israelis and their oppression of the very people we should be defending. How can we celebrate the 4th of July at a time when the Palestinians are fighting for their communities, their histories, their very lives, and the Israelis are fighting to take that all away from them; to erase them from history. I implore you to live up to the spirit of the 4th of July and support the Palestinians in their fight for their own independence and self determination. Demand that Israel opens the aid corridors for food and medical supplies NOW, impose consequences on Israel for its illegal seizures of land in the West Bank, and halt all US aid and weapon sales to Israel. Please, it is time to stand with your constituents and support the values that you espouse.
