Question about project 2025
How will it make climate change worse?
Answer
It's very likely that the platform would make it much harder for the EPA to enforce rules for controlling air pollutants and make other decisions on climate change in order to prioritize their goals of increased fossil fuel extraction. One particularly concerning method that could be used to achieve this goal would be the dismantling of the Endangerment Finding, which compels the EPA to act on these problems, and the related efforts to dismantle NOAA, as well as an ideological restructuring of climate-related federal agencies and funds from the IRA towards state agencies, as those may have ideologies that don't value action on climate change, meaning we would continue to pollute the earth, leading to a world where people have no access to clean air, safe drinking water, or the natural resources we depend on. The "Project 2025" plan calls for undermining EPA actions on climate change.
