There is concern that this will target certain demographics in a disproportionately negative way, and reverse much of the progress of civil rights legislation throughout our history, effectively rolling back time to before 1965. They will potentially put an end to discrimination protections for certain groups of people, potentially leading to an increase in attacks against these people. It could possibly go further, as some parts of the platform have made specific references to repealing 1960s civil rights era protections and could possibly seek to get rid of those that could protect women and people of color as well. Even if the playbook doesn't say so specifically, most people expect to see the rights of LGBTQ people go away.
