Question about project 2025

How will it effect FFRDCs?

Answer

The playbook proposes to relocate many of the federal agencies currently operating out of Washington, D.C. However, it's important to note that a large number of federal employees don't reside in Washington, D.C. Nevertheless, the policy might still try to forcibly relocate employees, forcing some of them to move their families to different parts of the country. If it comes to that, it would impact Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and other agencies who currently have a strong presence in Washington, D.C., leading to an unprecedented exodus.
