Question about project 2025

Will you get rid of abortion completely?

Answer

"Project 2025" proposes to greatly reduce access to abortion, but it doesn't necessarily mean the end of abortion. There are several approaches that it mentions including ending medication abortions through the FDA, increasing barriers to access including requiring people to get abortions in-person from a doctor. The playbook proposes trying to enlist the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to heavily restrict medication abortion, classifying it as containing "forever chemicals." It is likely they would try and make this much more restrictive if they had control. It should be noted that in several states where abortion is completely banned, they will try and take access away by using the same tactics. This is one of the main threats posed by this platform, and would have catastrophic repercussions. "Project 2025" advocates ending access to medication abortion through the EPA.
