Please protect funding for public broadcasting. PBS and NPR are my go-to escapes for informative programming that is NOT partisan politics. I love their shows like All Things Considered, The Hidden Brain, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. I enjoy their human interest stories. For PBS, shows like documentaries and family geneology are informative and entertaining. And omg, the New Orleans chefs featured in the cooking shows bring notoriety to our food culture: Kevin Belton, Dooky Chase, NOLA Kitchen Queens, Paul Prudhomme, John Folse and so many more.
NPR and PBS serve a great purpose to bring culture forward. I recently posted pics of a meal in Dooky Chases restaurant. Friends from Michigan, Jersey, Minnesota and even California were all jealous ... they heard about Dooky on PBS cooking shows and wished they could be there. THAT'S THE POWER OF PBS.
Please preserve funding for these valuable public media.
