ICE restrictions and accountability

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody, Rep. Frost

From: A constituent in Orlando, FL

February 27

I’m calling to urge congress to refuse to vote for any bill funding the Department of Homeland Security that fails to rein in ICE. The killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti and are part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against our communities. weve heard from whistleblowers about the lack of training and the vilations of the constitution under ICE, as well as the inhumane conditions people are under. We can’t wait around while ICE harms more people. You must push for an appropriations bill that puts serious restrictions on ICE, ends its dragnet raids, and doesn’t add a penny to its already bloated budget. Thank you.
