Montana members of Congress are CROOKS

To: Sen. Daines, Rep. Downing, Sen. Sheehy

From: A constituent in Billings, MT

May 22

Senator Steve Daines •  Climate Change Denial: In 2019, Daines rejected the scientific consensus, saying “to suggest that [climate change] is human-caused is not a sound scientific conclusion.” •  Corporate Ties: He’s received major campaign donations from coal, oil, gas, and banking interests, raising conflict-of-interest concerns. •  Abortion Opposition: Daines consistently opposes abortion rights, even co-signing a letter to HHS objecting to abortion access for unaccompanied minors at the border. ⸻ 🪖 Senator Tim Sheehy •  Plagiarism: His book Mudslingers includes at least four plagiarized passages without proper citation. •  Gunshot Lie: Sheehy claimed a bullet wound came from combat in Afghanistan; later admitted it was from an accidental discharge in Glacier National Park. •  Anti-Native Remarks: He told donors Native Americans were “drunk at 8 a.m.” during a campaign event. •  Undisclosed Assets: A complaint alleges he failed to list all financial holdings on disclosure forms. •  Unvetted Memoir: He skipped required Pentagon review of his military memoir, possibly violating DOD policy. ⸻ 🧢 Representative Ryan Zinke •  Ethics Investigations: As Trump’s Interior Secretary, Zinke faced multiple federal investigations into travel expenses and conflicts of interest. He resigned under pressure. •  Shady Private Work: After resigning, Zinke joined a blockchain company led by a controversial figure—another example of the government-to-grift pipeline. ⸻ 🧢 Representative Troy Downing (R-MT-2) •  Illegal Hunting Licenses: From 2011–2016, Downing purchased Montana resident licenses while living in California. He pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors, paid fines, and lost hunting privileges for 18 months. •  Campaign Violations: In 2020, Montana’s Political Practices Commissioner found seven violations, including failure to report spending and omitting legal attributions. •  Misuse of Funds: He was accused of using primary election funds for general election expenses, potentially violating campaign finance law. •  Fake Identity: In 2024, he allegedly signed a state registration book under a false name—raising concerns of deliberate fraud. •  Residency Doubts: During his 2018 campaign, evidence showed he referred to California as “home” despite claiming Montana residency—casting doubt on his eligibility for state office and benefits.
