Your Rural And Working Class Communities Need A Budget That Supports Them
To: Rep. Wied
From: A verified voter in Sturgeon Bay, WI
June 24
I am writing to urge you to oppose the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” budget proposal.
Despite its branding, this budget would do serious harm to the very people you were elected to represent—Wisconsin’s rural and working-class families. It guts funding for essential public services like education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and family assistance programs. These cuts would disproportionately impact small towns, family farms, and hardworking people who are already stretched thin.
We need a budget that strengthens—not weakens—our communities. One that invests in schools, local clinics, public transportation, clean water, and affordable housing. Supporting this bill would be a betrayal of the values and needs of everyday Wisconsinites.
I urge you to stand up for the people who live and work in your district and vote no on the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
